Behind the scenes of the opera house
Come and visit the back of house of the Teatr Wielki, home of the Polish Notational Opera and the Polish National Ballet.
Stand on one the largest opera stage in the world and see the auditorium as the singers and ballet dancers see it. Sneak a peak of the opera house’s carpenters, scenic painters and metalworkers at work and find out what goes into a theatre production.
As part of the tour you will visit: the backstage and wings area, scenic workshops (paint shop, carpentry shop, metalworking shop, costume workshop), wardrobe storage, auditorium, and foyer. You will also be given a talk about the history of the Teatr Wielki and its building.
